In the last few years, Egg has been brought in to take a closer look at Hazel Court Eco Depot’s underperforming solar photovoltaic (PV) system. Hazel Court knew their system could be running better, and they trusted Egg to get the job done.
Understanding the issues and taking action
We decided to take out a survey on the installation from 2017 and sadly found a number of faults. Thankfully, it was nothing we couldn’t handle. We rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in to get the system running as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Using the most modern and high quality equipment available in our industry, we put smart SolarEdge technology in place at Hazel Court. After we’d completed our work, the system’s capacity was increased by a whopping 127% (51kWp to 116kWp) after we’d added a grand total of 241 panels to the system.
More solar panels and even better capacity
In 2020, Hazel Court asked us to come back to install another 378 brand new panels to take their capacity up even more. We added a huge 110kWp to the existing system in under 2 months. Extreme wind and rain weren’t going to stop us. We ploughed through the extreme weather and completed the project without causing any problems for the depo’s normal operations.
